The White City Volunteer Fire Department has received a $2,500 donation from America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund and directed by local farmer Bill Colvin of Morris County.
America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, improves lives in rural America through farmer directed donations. The program, which launched in 2010, allows farmers to enter to win a $2,500 donation to direct toward their favorite community nonprofit organization. One winner is selected in each of the 1,326 eligible counties across 40 states.
Rural communities are the heart of America. The America’s Farmers community outreach programs focus on strengthening the rural communities where farmers and their families live and work.
Summer Baseball/ Softball
The White City Ball Association is looking for children ages 4 through 17 to play summer ball. If your child is interested, please contact Kourtni Rapp by phone or text at 785-466-1013785-466-1013 as soon as possible. Attached is a registration form with cost details. It isn't too late to sign up even thought he form shows an earlier deadline.
City-Wide Yard Sales are Saturday, April 23. Maps are available at Central Station, Callaham's Bar & Grill, Guimond Lumber, Post Office, WC Library and Central National Bank.

Items placed after Monday morning
may not be hauled away.
Please separate items into the following categories:
Tree Limbs & Clean Lumber (no nails)
Metal & Appliances (no Freon) Old Furniture Tires
(LIMIT 4 tires, light duty tires only without rims)
** NO HAZARDOUS WASTE WILL BE PICKED UP**
Please take this opportunity to clean out your garage,
basements or yards.
The City of White City has a blight ordinance and this is the only time items of this kind are allowed to be placed
Saturday April 30, 2016 the Class of 2019 will be set up
on the corner of Grand Street & E. Mackenzie Street for a Bake Sale.
Sales will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until they are sold out or 11:00 a.m.
